The annual family vacation is a tradition that continues on through the centuries, with only the families and the transportation styles changing. Although we may not spend a summer at the beach with mom watching over the kids and dad joining in the fun on the weekends, we still treasure these escapes that allow us to re-tighten the family bonds. As you begin to plan your upcoming journey to Cape Coral, choosing your sanctuary, the family home away from home, is looming high on your checklist of things to do. With that in mind, we love nothing more than to make weary travelers get their rest, to make them feel welcomed and treasured, and we have created this guide to our Cape Coral vacation homes to give you an idea of what to expect when you choose RentTheKeys, and perhaps to help you mark one more item off your to do list!

The Feeling Is the Same In Our Vacation Rentals in Cape Coral
The style of our Cape Coral vacation homes vary in shape, number of bedrooms, and décor, but the feeling that family is welcome here stays the same throughout all our properties! Walk into spaces that are light, bright, and airy, and you can immediately imagine how you and your family will live in each room. Living areas are designed to be lived in, containing comfy furniture that stands up to curious toddlers, flopping teens, and the occasional mid-afternoon nap. State-of-the-art televisions ensure that no one misses their favorite sitcom or that dad doesn’t have to watch the big game on the tiny screen of his smart phone.
Great attention is paid to small details in our homes, and our fully equipped kitchens will have everything you need to create a feast, (minus the food, of course) including sharp knives, wine glasses, and the all-important corkscrew. Our kitchens are spacious, offering enough room for the kids to help out with the chores, but if you prefer to run the show all by yourself, in many of our homes a breakfast bar offers the perfect spot for them to sit and talk while you do the fun stuff. Dining rooms in our vacation rentals in Cape Coral serve multiple purpose as you play games, hold conversations, and of course, devour the awesome meals just prepared!
At night, when the moon rises high in the sky and the landscape is bathed in its ethereal glow, slipping between the silky softness of high thread count linens topping super comfortable beds may end up being the high point of your days. Lay your head back, snuggle in, and prepare for a night of sleep so deep you will awaken each morning feeling rested and renewed. Younger kids will whisper and giggle late into the night, excited about the adventures they are experiencing, teens will play on their phones determined to make each day last longer, and you and your favorite traveling partner will enjoy these few moments of peace, quiet, and togetherness.
Always Something to Do in Cape Coral
Although our Cape Coral vacation homes could be considered the vacation itself, you will want to get out and explore all that the town has to offer. Spend your days hanging out at Bunche Beach, building sandcastles, and frolicking in the surf, and spend your evenings riding the rides, racing go karts, and playing family style at Gator Mike’s Family Fun Park, located at 35 NE Pine Island Road. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at family friendly Mel’s Diner, whose 50s style décor and old-fashioned dipped milkshakes make you happy to be alive! Located at 1331 NE Pine Island Road, parents will be ecstatic to learn that Mel’s also offers an extensive cocktails menu, so go ahead and enjoy a Bloody Mary at breakfast, a Twisted Lemonade at lunch, and a Florida favorite, the Endless Summer Punch at dinner!
Explore the natural beauty of Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve where you can hike or kayak through the gorgeous Florida wilderness and keep an eye out for the protected wildlife that make their home on this beautiful stretch of land. Bird watching is a popular activity at the preserve, so keep an eye out for some particularly beautiful bird species, and when you kayak through the mangroves, you will feel as if you have entered into a different time, almost expecting to see pterodactyls flying above you, spinosaurus swimming around you, and dreadnoughtus roaming on land on the other side of the mangroves. (If you don’t know what we are talking about, just ask your 6 year old!)
