Designed for intimate getaways, this romantic 1-bedroom, 1-bath space is perfect for couples of all ages (it houses two guests comfortably) or for those daring souls that seek a solo getaway. Island House and all its condos are located just minutes away from the beaches of Anna Maria Island and brings a simple charm to your Florida vacation; this guide will take you on a journey through its comforts and charms.
Comfort is in Style
As you step inside for the first time, all the charms of Island House - Shortboard are instantly revealed with its open concept floor plan, with all “rooms” having their own space in this studio style condo.
The living room is a bright an airy space offering creamy colored walls, a big window that lets in all the light, and a gray sectional that anchors the room. Facing the large television that hangs on the wall opposite, guests can also peek into the kitchen, conversing with the cook of the day without having to waste any energy by actually getting up and walking to the room!
Cheerful and compact, the cozy kitchen still manages to serve up Florida-sized appeal! Updated appliances, minimalist cabinets, and an expansive breakfast bar fronted by two wooden bar stools ensure that all dining needs are met, and the glass tile backsplash provides a touch of style that adds charm to the space. There is no dining room in Shortboard, but the space at the breakfast is perfect for intimate meals a deux, and choosing to eat breakfast in bed is ALWAYS a good idea for honeymooners of all ages!
Speaking of breakfast in bed, the bedroom section of Shortboard brings us to the next section of our tour. Tucked away in the far corner of the room, the television hanging opposite the sofa can be turned towards the queen bed, giving guests the option of falling asleep to their favorite shows.
The bathroom is a private space, offering a walk in shower, single vanity, and a glass block window that lets in light while keeping bathers unseen. This cozy studio may not have a lot of square footage, but every inch of Shortboard is used to its maximum potential!
Outside, a community space offers spaces to dine or to chat and a barbecue grill for those nights when you can’t bear to be cooped up inside but you don’t want to go out to eat.
