  • Is Rent the Keys a trusted vacation rental company?

    Yes, Rent the Keys is a fully licensed real estate company regulated by the Florida Department of Professional Regulation. We are also a member of the Vacation Rental Management Association providing background checked membership only.

  • Is my payment secure when making a reservation and payment through this site?

    Yes, Rent the Keys has the highest standard in SSL security on the site.

  • How and where do we check-in?

    We offer contactless check-in. Simply arrive at your property and utilize the code provided prior to arrival to enter. There are no keys to pick-up or office to visit prior to arrival.

  • When do I get my check-in information?

    Check-in and property information is emailed to guests 1 week prior to arrival as long as full payment and an electronically signed lease has been returned. Missing your info? no problem, you can always login to our guest portal from our website by clicking the "Guest Login" link in the top right corner.

  • Can I bring my dog?

    Pet friendly properties are marked and typically require a $200 non-refundable pet fee however the fee may vary between properties and is disclosed in the descriptions. All pets staying with you must be approved prior to making a reservation.

  • Is the pool heated?

    Properties with heated pools are marked. There is always a fee required to heat the pool and this fee varies among properties but is typically between $15 - $25/night and noted in the descriptions.

  • Who can I contact if we have an emergency?

    Who can I contact if we have an emergency? For serious emergencies always call 911. For emergencies regarding an issue with the physical property you can call our main line at 888-941-7368. For after-hours calls you must leave a message and a team member will return your call promptly.

  • Why Rent The Keys

    When you book your travel, its always good to look for someone to work with who is local to the area you are traveling, and can provide a host of options to you without charging you astronomical fees to do so. When you book with Rent the Keys, you can trust you are reserving with a well known and reputable company that is local to the area, sand save those third party booking fees whenever possible!

  • How much is the deposit?

    When you reserve a booking, we take an initial deposit to hold your reservation equal 20% of your total reservation.

  • What is your Cancellation Policy?

    Your reservation is eligible for a full refund, less a $159 cancellation fee, up to 90 days prior to your arrival. After 90 days prior to your check in day, your reservation is no longer guaranteed a refund, and is handled in accordance with your signed lease agreement you fill out when booking.

  • Do I need Travel Protection Insurance?

    When you are spending a substantial amount of money on a vacation rental, it is important that your investment is protected in every way. The Gulf Coast of Florida is prone to many things that could interrupt your trip. It is crucial you consider Travel Protection as an option for yourself when reserving, regardless of season and time of year.

  • What is provided with your rentals?

    We provide enough amenities to get you started, including trash liners, paper towels, toilet paper, dish liquid, dishwasher liquid, washer and dryer pods should the unit have an in unit washer/dryer, and others. We also provide linens for the bed, towels for the bathroom, and towels for the kitchen. Finally, we include Beach Towels for you and your party, beach chairs for the occupancy of the home, and many homes have beach carts and beach coolers available for free to use during your stay.

  • How do I receive my check in information?

    Several days prior to your arrival you receive an email with an invitation to your guest portal, including a password to use to access it. The day of arrival our team checks your unit for cleanliness and functionality, and will inform you via text message and the portal when the home is ready to check in. We cant guarantee your arrival prior to 4pm on your check in day, but we will work as quickly as we can to get you in and comfortable to begin your trip fast.

  • Which areas do you have vacation rentals in?

    We host vacation rentals in Siesta Key, Longboat Key, and Sarasota Florida. We represent both Monthly rental only homes, as well as weekly rentals.

  • When is your office open if I wanted to talk to someone?
